PLAYROOM

The playroom at the Magnolia United Church of Christ (MUCC) is a babysitting service available to MUCC members and Co-op members only.  It is located on the main floor of the MUCC, above the Co-op classrooms.  It may be used for MUCC or Co-op related business such as working in class, meetings, or committee work or as a drop-in service for general babysitting needs.  The playroom staff provides a fun and safe place for children to play with minimal structure and lots of free time.  The playroom is open 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday.  A child (newborn to age 6) may be in the playroom up to 4 hours per day and a maximum of 2 days per week. 

Currently, rates are as follows (except no sibling discount for newborns):

• Co-op related business $4.00/hour and $3.00/hour for each sibling
• Drop–in $5.25/hour and $3.00/hour for each sibling

Call the playroom supervisor to sign up for a regular Co-op related slot or drop in spot.  Work in class slots take priority over drop in requests.  You must pay for the slot at the time you sign up.  In accordance with MUCC policy, no nuts of any kind are allowed in the playroom.  An administrative fee of $20 is due annually and donations of supplies are requested.
