Member Requirements

⚠️ Please read before enrolling.

The cooperative preschool model is a really special and different experience than your average drop-off preschool. The co-op is built on parent involvement, with parents & guardians working in partnership with teachers and parent educators. This model provides a valuable opportunity to learn with your child and build friendship and community, and requires additional commitment beyond a drop-off preschool.

Parents act as teaching assistants supporting both in-class and administrative needs, and as volunteer Board Members who oversee the high-level operations of the preschool. The hard-work of these parent volunteers also helps to keep prices affordable.

Membership at the co-op requires:

  • Parents or caregivers volunteer one day per week in their child’s class

  • Parents & guardians attend parent education classes one evening per month in conjunction with North Seattle College. Parent education sessions are held at the preschool.

  • Families are required to have an in-class and an all-school job, helping operate our school and keeping tuition costs affordable.

  • For those who want to take their involvement to the next level, joining the Board of Directors is an option.

Please review the programs page for the classes, rates and availability, as well as the member handbook for more information.
