Member Involvement

Participation in the Co-Op involves time and commitment to help classes and the school run smoothly. By joining our program you are taking an active role in your child’s early education.

Below you will find a list of our membership participation requirements.

Classroom Work Days

A parent or regular caregiver will work one day a week in class, joining the child and acting as a teacher’s assistant. Teacher’s Assistants work together to supervise children, engage in activities, and support the teacher and one another during class.

Classroom Jobs

A parent or regular caregiver will volunteer for a classroom job - such as Parent Coordinator, who manages the class work and snack calendars, or a Field Trip Coordinator - to coordinate groups, drivers, and communications if your class attends a field trip.

All-School Jobs

A parent or caregiver will volunteer for one of our many all-school jobs to support the larger needs of running our preschool. Examples are joining the School Board, volunteering for an all school cleaning, or supporting our school by working a booth for a few hours at the Magnolia Summerfest. This is an opportunity to share your skills with our program!

Member Meetings

A parent or caregiver will attend a monthly meeting to discuss class progress, questions, and announcements. Portions of the monthly meetings are reserved for Parent Enrichment. There are typically two all-school meetings, which replace the monthly class meeting, during the year.
